Trust in Truth

It seems as July ends and August begins, I am hearing over and over “to Trust!” In this day and age where we are inundated with so many opinions in our daily lives, it sometimes takes us away from our core truth detector and sends us into an unbalanced emotional state. Let’s face it, our world of community is chaotic! The energy can feel frazzling. In my opinion, the stability of the media is gone and the ability to gather an opinion from them is compromised. Gone are the days of objective reporting. Now it feels more like an effort to convince our perspective than providing a myriad of facts so you can decide truth for yourself. Where do we turn for truth? Even in this one example of deciding our truth, we might want to recognize that nothing outside ourselves tells us what is truth. We can gain trust by paying attention to our inner truth detector ultimately. How does truth feel for you? Mine feels inside my heart, clear and without objection.

Where do you go when you need to sort through the confusion and chaos? Usually to truly connect with truth, we go somewhere quiet so we can be with ourselves and immerse in something that makes us feel balanced in perspective. We often turn to nature, a massage, nap, exercise, read a fictional book, watch a funny movie to name a few. When we do these things, we seem to get messages, sparks of inspiration of some sort that shifts our thinking and triggers our heart and feels important and truthful. But ultimately we slow down and move away from the confusion. If we are successful, we reconnect with our heart and what we believe is important. We walk away with different priorities and set out on a path to change our ways. But unless you learn to connect with what feels true inside yourself and run influences in life through that truth meter, you end up in the same place of confusion, eventually. That too is reality, because we are constantly learning and growing in life. But ultimately, it isn’t the massage, book or walk that gives you truth, it is you turning within to connect with what feels truthful. Knowing how your body communicates truth to you can change your life and put you in the drivers seat of your life and development.

So where does trust come in? Well, we all have had bumps in our life that we didn’t see coming, that affect our ability to trust our inner truth meter. So it too confuses us along the way. When we are in the unknown territory of learning, incidents happen, that is just life. It is important to reflect back on the time when we made our decision and we remember that warning or ill feeling we ignored. We missed it, but reflecting helps us to learn to acknowledge and trust those messages moving forward. Telling your victim story repeatedly without reckoning to move forward in a positive way, allows the victim to continue. Giving the need to blame something outside yourself more power than your own learned wisdom, determines the course moving forward. Trust can only be developed in knowing within yourself what truth feels like and exercising that knowledge in your decision making.

The past 4 years I have been studying with the Indigenous Medium, Shawn Leonard. He has given me simple tools to help me fine tune my ability to connect with people who have passed or as he says, gone home. Meditation, saying prayers for empowerment outloud to my spirit guides, ancestors and the creator (or God.) These tools have opened me to visions, hearing, smelling, feeling (physical and emotional) and “just knowing” abilities to develop in delivering messages from the other side. It has been a huge lesson of trust which continues with each reading. Shawn himself and other mediums I follow, after all their years of experience still talk about how hard mediumship is because you have to follow the crumbs spirit sends and trust it enough to share it. I have two methods I can trust to deliver these messages. 1 being trusting my inner truth meter and 2 being brave enough to share whatever message I receive that feels truthful, to the person the message is intended for and await their response of validation. That takes trust. Trust and truth go hand in hand in life, this is just one example. My final point is, you have to go within to find truth in situations. Healthy healing activities you seek are tools to get you there. You can turn outward and get 1000’s of opinions. But unless you put each of those opinions inside yourself to see if they are true or not, your path in life is determined by others, not by authentic truth. Turning within continues to strengthen your truth meter and refine your consistency. And yes, you will hit and miss, but humility is a valuable tool to get you to go back and fine tune your truth meter as well. Everything is a choice. And we do get triggered. You know the old saying “sink or sail”, course correct is the hoped end result. And every life lesson hopefully makes you better, stronger and more confident. I myself am in the middle of gaining trust in my mediumship right now. For me, it is like stage fright before a reading, but immense joy after to have helped someone with their pain of loss. When the challenges present themselves, I go back to the drawing board, get quiet, review the incident and try to correct course moving forward. Every reading I get stronger, but every reading requires blind trust. I am narrowing the window of self doubt and building my trust in truth. It feels like a big life lesson, important to the core of human existence and survival.

Let’s draw a card and ask what everyone needs to know to grow their trust in truth – I will just respond with resonating points from the book guide from the Wisdom of the Oracle deck by Collette Baron-Reid. I drew the card “ Time for a Nap”. The essential meaning is: rest, rejuvenation and renewal. Temporary non-action, allowing dreams to arise. The Oracle’s message is: Nothing is as important as rest, detachment, and neutrality. The overly busy mind can block you from inner wisdom if you don’t step back, take a seat, and rest. Be willing to let dreams surface and ideas flow through you, absent any force or conscious direction, as you observe without engagement now. In relationships: Withdraw from action in your relationship, and give it a rest so that your love and connection can become rejuvenated. If you are not partnered, it’s good to take this time to know yourself. If you are partnered, relax and just be with your partner. Prosperity message: A great time to take a break from your busy schedule and allow yourself the opportunity to step back. Put plans on ice, dream, imagine and let go of attachments. After a break, you might want to make some changes. Epiphanies have an amazing way of arising when you take your focus off your to-do list and allow yourself to rest.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

The Power to Create………….

I have been working to grow my intuitive business for several years and have yet to fully put myself out there. I have other priorities at this time that limit my time commitment. I have also needed to grow as a person and to grow my skills. I have been taking classes and expanding & awakening my abilities. The one thing that I have done consistently in the interim, is visualize what I want for the collective world.

As you know, we are all made of energy physically and we also produce mental & emotional energy that helps shape our reality. The world mirrors our energy back to help us continue to grow to be who we want to be. To have the opportunities to experience what we want to experience. It also mirrors back where we are at the present time in our lives.

Fate is an interesting word as it not only reflects what we believe to be true, but it also reflects what others believe. We are caught up in trying to find our place in the collective reality, often times in realities we don’t agree with. Sometimes there are realities that leave us feeling like a victim. Hopeless, pessimistic and/or afraid to name a few. Those are the moments when I turn to either prayer or meditation. I focus on what shift I want to see in the world. While I can’t physically force change in everyone or everything, I can send energy out to penetrate the reality and contribute to change. When you come from your heart and send pure love, it butts up against the dark and creates energy of evolvement. It inspires a leader to start taking action. It creates opportunities for change. One prayer &/or one meditation at a time. There is nothing more pleasing to me, than to be praying/meditating on a certain issue and to witness it occurring in real life. One of those very issues I have been working on is for polarization in our society to find peaceful middle ground to create positive change. I saw an interview this morning of a powerful Liberal public figure agreeing to be interviewed by a powerful Republican public figure. It took the Liberal several years to accept this invitation for the interview. But at the end of the day, she realized that although they may not agree on everything, there are core issues they do agree on & by discussing them it makes it possible to create change together to improve America.. This is true, no matter where you live. I believe my years of putting this energy forth played a part in creating this event. As Margaret Mead said: “Never underestimate the ability of a small group of dedicated people to change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has”

So next time you feel afraid, alone, defeated, etc. Remember that change begins with every thought and feeling your put forth to the world. Energy affects everyone. What you pay forward to the world will find it’s way to a person who wants what you want & can empower them to put forth the same supportive, positive energy the way they are capable of doing. Plant seeds in your garden called life. Change starts with belief. No matter how powerless you feel, you can start the momentum in your direction by believing in something you dream of. Lastly, remember that truth always wins when it comes from your heart! More people want good than evil in their lives. Choose love over hate!

Let’s draw a card and ask “what does everyone need to know to overcome a feeling of helplessness or anger?” The card I drew is from Collette Baron-Reid’s deck “Wisdom of the Oracle” and the card is “Co-Create!” I really should video myself drawing these cards some time so you can see how the right cards always presents itself, I don’t pick and choose what card I present!

The essential meaning of this card is: creativity, art, inspiration, fruition & manifestation. The message from the guide book says: You may not consider yourself a creative person, but in the fact you are creating your reality every moment of every day via your thoughts, feelings beliefs, intentions, and actions. (What did I say above?!) Yet you must consider that you do so in your partnership with Spirit, Consciousness, God or whatever name you call your Higher Power. You are a spark of this Intelligence that works through you, nudging you with inspired thought and intuitive guidance. You are a paintbrush that co-creates a beautiful, unique expression of your own individuality blended with the universal Spirit. The guidebook goes on, but I think you get the message!

So remember, you are never a hopeless victim in any situation. No matter how long this can take to produce change, it will swing things in the right direction and prevent doom. Believe! Express! & Know that Spirit/God is waiting to hear what you want to create and will send you more warriors to support your cause. Be open to see when they arrive & expand your empowerment!

Following Intuition

Recently I followed the crumbs of intuition on purchasing some rugs for my kitchen in a thorough way area of my kitchen to secure a runway for my dog, who likes to run through the house once he figures out we are going on a walk. While this is a small issue in my life, I wanted to illustrate the process I went through to find my rugs. My end result of this blog post is in hopes you will let go of your negative self-dialogue to problem solve and trust in spirit to find your way to create mini-miracles in your life to accomplish your goals.

This past Spring, I had spent months trying to find some rugs in stores and online I liked and came up empty every time. So I had pretty much given up, but always put out to the universe to show me how to find the rugs I would love every time I saw those ugly rugs instead of feeding into self-defeat. Several months later, I was out shopping and decide to stop by a large chain store to buy some smaller rugs and saw a rug in a larger size like some of the rugs I had at the top of the stairs in the kitchen. I wondered if I could find this rug in a large enough size & would be mostly satisfied with it. This got my wheels turning again. I didn’t find the sizes I was hoping for, but knew of another of this chain store that had a bigger selection and would check there when I had time.

On a Friday night going into a holiday wknd, I was feeling inspired again to go shopping. As the wknd. progressed, my inspiration continued and somehow morphed into shopping for rugs on Monday. By then I was even more determined to buy new rugs to replace the very worn ones in the kitchen, that day. So I set out only to come up empty handed again. But when I was at the last store, I had a strong feeling to go home and go back to this one rug web page and search for grey rugs, a color I had not searched before. So I went home and did that very thing. As I logged into this web page, it instantly popped up there were having a 20% off sale! Awesome as these rugs were expensive. I now felt more inspired and rewarded! Then I searched for the color grey, 8 pages of choices came up. On the 1st page, 3rd row down were my rugs! Wha-lah, finally, done! And I didn’t settle for something less than what I really wanted. Lesson accomplished!

To me, this experience illustrates the many layers of discovery we go through to find our answers in life while inlisting spirit and being guided by spirit. While this is a trivial issue, it shows when you are true to yourself, you find what you want at the right time. We often let our minds and emotions get in the way when things don’t pan out when we think we are ready. We often fall off the path & become impatient and make a poor choice, delve into confusion and lose our truth, become fearful, beat ourselves up or give up to name a few responses.

While my old rugs were eye sores to me every day & I couldn’t find what I truly wanted, that reminder kept me in the hope I’d find my rugs. Sometimes you have to let it go and turn it over to the creator, spirit guides and angels and wait until everything lines up for you to find what you want as you continue (create action) to maintain hope your answers will come. Listening to when you no longer feel motivated because you have exhausted your known resources to continue and take a break. Pray and meditate to be shown what it is you are seeking. And have faith the answer will come in divine time as happened to me with this example.

Let me draw an Oracle Card to see what spirit has to tell us. I am asking what everyone needs to know to stick to their truth to find their way through their present obstacle they are faced with. I drew a card from “Wisdom of the Oracle” by Collette Baron-Reid: “Here and Now” is the card. The essential meaning of the card is “Being fully present in the moment; living one day at a time.” This card talks about paying attention to the present and what is going on around you now. It reminds me of a friend who recently posted that he prayed to God to have an amazing, fun-filled retirement. Since then he has had ankle surgery & a hip replacement. My response to him was that when you ask for something you are not quite ready for, God does deliver, but often times it requires cleaning up the messes to get what you wished for. If you are asking for something you are not prepared to do, you will have to go through trivia/healing within yourself and in your world to accomplish what it is you are seeking. Your want may be bigger than you are able to handle. Or you may be asking for the wrong thing that is not in alignment with who you are and then have to be taught what the real truth of what you want is – cleaning up your motivation. When connect with how your heart feels when you seek something, you often know whether is feels like clear skies ahead or if there is a block of some sort. Or you may feel at a complete loss as to where to start. That is when you have to turn to prayer, talk to your angels and spirits guides to show you your next step. Meditate & pray every day on finding that path to your desired truth be shown to you in a kind, but undeniable manner. Your mind has to be quiet to hear the answers and your eyes must see honestly to see the answers that will be presented. Those choices can try you to see if you will follow your path or take the easy road. Wherever you are at with your roadblock is where you start prayer and seeking your angels to help you. Recognize the self denial, betrayal, lack of patience on the path to your true answer and don’t be stopped short of your goal, your truth, your desire, your fulfillment. Motivation and honesty are everything in finding your way. Again, most importantly, start your prayer with asking for help with whatever self-defeat you are feeling at this time. It is one hurdle at a time to reach the finish line. Once you realize that you truly can call on your angels or spirit to send you the support and answers you need to get past your block, rather than worry, stress, fret and give up, you will begin to accomplish more than you can ever imagine possible. It is getting off that cruel train of self-conditioning, that negative inner dialogue, those learned reactions that create halt. Once you just turn to spirit & your angels with trust and faith you realize you don’t need to think your way out of anything anymore. Instead you can trust your heart to keep you on your path to truth and follow the bread crumbs to your truth.

Peace & Love, Susan

Turning up the Light….

There is a very dark aspect of life that has been leading life for a long time. Seems like that is not the bread crumbs that society wants to follow any more. I heard an influencer say this week, “If a leader is trying to push an elephant up a hill and the elephant doesn’t want to go, they can’t get that elephant up the hill.” There is power in masses, power in consumerism, power in decisions to say no. Power in following your truth and finding it. If your truth doesn’t yet exist, dream. There is magic around each of us to create our truth. Feeling blind to the path forward of the new unknown can be uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as continuing up a path of self-destruction. Look and feel the excitement of change, for when it’s gift manifests, it is magic and it is your dream come true.

When you look around your life and realize there is a lot of toxicity, you innately feel like you want to go another direction in life. You feel your truth. You know there has to be a better way, something more meaningful, something more self-caring.

The darker aspects of life seem so prominent at every turn as I awaken to knowledge I once did not know. Seems coming out of this pandemic has taught me to realize a lot of things I once didn’t realize. The old fairy tale is over and time for a new one without so much hardship.

The wonderful thing I am so grateful for are the courageous truth tellers. The people paving the way to change. Sparking us to return to the roots of our souls, our knowing. To create new ways of life that are healthful, supportive of community. Giving us new ways forward. Empowering the urge to help one another, to share your gifts to the world. Being who you are empowers others when it comes from love and brings love to your life. Dare to share your passions with your neighbor, co-worker or family. Being your true self and living your passions often spark a positive change in others and helps them to be creative which feeds the goodness for all.

It is time for change. It is the time for community, fairness, truth, invention, innovation, technology that serves mankind and empowers us as individuals. A blossoming of our inner truth. A truth that brings mankind together to inspire one another. To lend a helping hand. I believe within our hearts is an urge to help one another, to be kind to one another and to honor and respect our differences. If we dig deep enough, we can live amongst core differences because we realize that difference is what expands our awareness toward our own truth. Be open to the change that results as you inspire others by sharing who you are, leading them to create. Being right is less important than progress and healing.

When change is happening. Often a person will step out and tell a new story. The story has a deep meaning of goodness, but isn’t quite refined. It offends some people and others get the true intended message. It sparks controversy of ones core beliefs. What if that story was a breadcrumb meant to bring us closer together. What if that person saw a truth that no one had thought about and was brave enough to share it. To try to spark expansion in us all. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could stop and say “huh, how can we build upon this story to make it better.” Rather than argue about what he got wrong, point the finger and tear this person down, destroy their reputation. Or if you find no truth in the story, maybe it is time to move your attention elsewhere and hope for wisdom.

I was thinking of the early settlers as they pioneered across the United States and settled in new territories. When faced with a hardship they had to find a way to overcome. And in overcoming, they created, invented, shared it with their community to empower, survive and continue on their journey. Heart can take us much further than hate. Truth can lead us to the light. But you have to be willing to go inside yourself and process a peaceful response when someone or something ruffles your feathers. Interaction requires discussion and debate to find a solution. Recognize your cycle of response to something new and move forward with compassion leading your action. Silence can be a good teacher and allow time for inner-transition to understanding, processing and change. Sometimes silence is the cure to bridge the gap of differences. Feed the self-expansion needed to meet half way. Awaken you to a new part of yourself, help you recognize and let go of underserving inner dialogue. And a much less stressful way to attain a needed change. Maybe practice a day of silence and see what you learn. Be mindful of your intent while focusing in the moment. Balance the output and input of your daily life.

Let’s see what the cards have to say about awakening to newness with compassion. I drew a card from the “Wisdom of the Oracle” by Collette Baron-Reid. The card I drew is: “Between Worlds” in protection, (upside down.) The essential meaning from the book is: Transitions, not being quite out of one situation and fully engaged in another; temporary blindness, no-man’s land. The protective message reads: Be mindful of your expectations. This is not a time for guarantees. Things will not go exactly as your plan or dictate. Let go and see what Spirit has in store. What takes hold in your life will be better than you can imagine.

I interpret this card to say, to find your new way forward requires faith, hope and trust while dreaming of a new future. Live each day in the now, but take the time to dream of what you want. Learn from the past, but don’t let it take up your time. Acknowledge it and follow your solution, let go of it’s wound. It was only your inspiration for change, not the burden of your future. To find the way forward, you need to do what is right for the moment at hand. One foot in front of the other, guided by your heart. To try to ward off the fear of the unknown, stay in the now. To follow your breadcrumbs is to search for what feels good, what feels right, what brings you closer to your core gift of self. What you are able to do now to move toward your dream. Don’t be stopped by what you don’t have. Just start where you are and let spirit bring you some magic, open some doors, bring you the inspiration to create what you need to get where you want to go. Happiness in creativity can be fun if you believe what you want is possible. It can make your daily routine a vacation of sorts when you follow your truth and let compassion lead your actions. Love yourself, love your fellow man for they too are trying to find their way through this maze we call life. We can do it better, together, empowering and cheerleading one another to each reach our goals.

Come Monday….

July 17 there are several things happening astrologically, it is the New Moon in Cancer, Venus begins stationing/standing still until she goes retrograde on July 23rd-Sept. 3 & the nodes are changing signs. Today I want to talk about the nodes.

The North and South Nodes change signs every 18 months and it is important because it is something that everyone feels and is affected by. This also signifies what signs the eclipses will fall in the next 18 months.

On the 17th the North Node will move into Aries and the South Node will move into Libra. And because the collective world population all experience the energies, it tells us what we all will be moving toward (North Node in Aries) and moving away from (South Node in Libra) in the next 18 months. Let’s explain more about the nodes and their influences on our life.

The North Node is your spiritual purpose in life, what you are moving toward. It is what you came into this life to do. It is what you feel drawn to accomplish and develop. The influences of the North Node pulls you to expand who you are to fulfill this life’s destiny and your souls purpose. It shapes your future experiences and continued evolvement.

The South Node is the history of our soul when we are born, the accumulation of our past lifetimes. We come in to life with our history in our unconscious, our natural/innate talents and accomplishments of past lives. It also includes the wounds & traumas you carry from your past lives needed to heal to accomplish this life’s full purpose. They are the things that are easiest for you to perform naturally. Or the mental/emotional wall you hit every time you try something new. There are a myriad of examples to give, but I am hoping you understand. The South Node will stir you to act because of your accomplishments in past lives, but your wounds can also rise to prevent you. These barriers need to be healed to accomplish your soul’s purpose.

So what influence will Aries in the North Node and Libra in the South Node bring to us in the next 18 months? Aries empowers fire/passion, action, impulse, start up energy, movement, just do it & pick up the pieces later mentality. With this energy you will be driven toward doing & acting out. Libra in the South Node will give rise to the shadow aspects of Libra: passivity/fear, wanting to keep the peace amongst those in your life, people pleasing, indecisiveness, avoiding risks and things that disrupt harmony and balance.

We have an opportunity to face our barriers that keep us from moving forward with our dreams. It is good to look at your astrology birth chart to see what house Aries and Libra fall in to pinpoint more specifically how these energies will affect you personally. If you don’t, it should become apparent what aspect of your life you feel moved to go forward with and what inhibits you from doing so that seem associated with these signs.

Let’s draw a card to see what it is we all need to know about accomplishing our life’s purpose and how to deal with the barriers that prevent us from our dreams. I drew a card from the “Wisdom of the Oracle” created by Collette Baron-Reid. The card is, “Soul Mates.” The essential meaning of this card is harmonious relationships, love, friendship, companionship, a relationship fostering personal growth. You are meant to evolve and transform with the companionship of others including spirit. There are people meant to take you to the next level of your healing, consciousness and authenticity. Well, how Libra is that? So I interpret it as saying that you have to let go of the “Me” and accept the “We” in your learning journey. Having the balance of your Soul Tribe in your life, aka Truth Tribe surrounding you in life will help to empower you to move forward. Also working on your spiritual practice to strengthen your intuition and guidance. Calling in spirit to help you learn and grow. When you are feeling self-defeated, it is these resources that will empower you to heal your wounds. You will know who these people or signs are as you are naturally drawn to act. Aries empowers you to act before your self-doubt or fear stops you. But you must feel the truth in your heart when motivated to act. It takes balance and harmony to empower the energies in your life. Too extreme on any scale will build barriers that require more detours to get where you want to go. Turn inward for truth and follow it outwardly for your best life!
